In October 2017, the national consumer price rose 1.9% YoY, of which, the city rose 1.9%, the rural area rose 1.7%, the food price dropped 0.4%, the non-food price increased 2.4%, the consumer goods rose 1.1% and the service price increased 3.2% From January to October on average, the overall national consumer price index rose 1.5% over the same period of last year.
In October, the national consumer price rose 0.1% qoq, of which, the city rose 0.1% and the rural area rose 0.2%. The price of food was unchanged, the price of non-food rose 0.1%, the price of consumer goods rose 0.2% and the price of service decreased 0.1%.

I. Year-on-year price changes of various goods and services
In October, the prices of food, tobacco and alcohol rose 0.3% YoY, affecting CPI up 0.09%, of which, the price of aquatic products rose 3.8%, affecting the CPI up 0.07%; the price of eggs rose 3.1%, affecting the CPI up 0.02% Percentage points; food prices rose 1.6%, affecting the CPI rose about 0.03 percentage points; fresh vegetable prices rose 0.3%, affecting the CPI up about 0.01 percentage points; livestock meat prices fell 5.7%, affecting the CPI down about 0.27 percentage points (pork prices fell 10.1 %, Affecting the CPI down about 0.28 percentage points); fresh fruit prices fell 0.7%, affecting the CPI down about 0.01 percentage points.
Prices of other health care, housing, education, culture and entertainment went up by 7.2%, 2.8% and 2.3% respectively, while prices of other supplies and services, daily necessities and services rose by 1.8% and 1.5%, clothing, transportation and communication prices rose by 1.2% and 0.8% respectively.

Second, the price of various goods and services chain changes
In October, prices of food, tobacco and alcohol remained unchanged, with fresh fruit prices up 0.7%, fresh vegetables prices up 0.4% and livestock meat prices up 0.3%, both of which affected the CPI up by about 0.01%; the price of eggs dropped 4.6%, affecting the CPI Down about 0.03 percentage points; aquatic products prices fell 0.6%, affecting the CPI decreased by about 0.01 percentage points.

1, the indicator explained
The Consumer Price Index (CPI) is a measure of the relative value of residents' prices of consumer goods and services over time, and reflects changes in the prices of consumer goods and services purchased by residents.
2, the statistical range
The National Consumer Price Index (CPI) covers 8 major categories of food, tobacco, clothing, housing, household products and services, transportation and communications, education and entertainment, healthcare, other supplies and services nationwide, 262 A basic classification of goods and services prices.
3, the survey method
According to the principles of "people, fixed-point and fixed-time", the original price was collected directly from the survey network by sampling by sampling method.
