Korean media: the world's handset manufacturers force AI smart phone | Apple Huawei first to open

According to Korean media reports, industry observers said that the global technology giant is now force smart phones with built-in artificial intelligence technology, these phones equipped with a dedicated application processor that allows mobile phones more like humans.

According to observers, Apple and Huawei are the first companies to eat crabs on AI smartphones, and recently introduced iPhone X and Huawei Mate 10, both claiming to be equipped with neural engines and processing components for AI functions.

While the industry has not yet made a specific definition, it is a common belief that the AI feature is an engine that can handle a myriad of data related to AI and IoT services.

According to industry sources, the algorithms behind such engines are similar to the human brain and can handle more tasks at the same time than the CPU.

AI smartphones can process data faster, with less power, than Smart Voice Assistants such as Siri, because on AI smartphones, these tasks are handled without a constant connection to the server.

'Machine learning technology for accurately identifying objects, speech and video is a key feature of AI smartphones,' said Kim Dong-won, a South Korea KB securities researcher who said in the future that the global handset market will be divided into 'AI' and 'non AI 'two types.

As the world's largest maker of smartphones, Samsung Electronics is also developing 'on-board AI capabilities', but the company has not yet decided to introduce these features to its Galaxy S9, released next year.
